Church Planting Month
September is Church Planting Month across the Christian and Missionary Alliance! One of the main ways we continue to reach out to neighbors, communities, cities and regions with the love and hope of Jesus. The ask for church planting month is that you would simply take a moment during one of your services in September to pray for the church planting efforts of the C&MA, specifically the North Central District. Here are a few reasons why this would be a good thing to do:
Church Planting Sunday is a great way to celebrate what God has done. And we have a lot to celebrate! Currently there are 16 new Kingdom Advancing Environments that we have launched in the last 5 years!
Church Planting Sunday is a great way to highlight the ways in which YOUR partnership has helped advance God’s Kingdom. Your church has participated in these launches through your partnership with the District Operating Budget. Some church members ask what the money they give to the district goes towards. One of the main things it goes to is to launch these environments.
Church Planting Sunday is a great way to inspire your people to think missionally about your community. By highlighting some of the innovative ways our church plants are approaching mission people in your church can be inspired to think about how they are approaching mission.
Church Planting Sunday is a great way to support our church plants through prayer. Prayer is our primary work and there are church plants that are going against spiritual strongholds. Together our prayers can help advance God’s Kingdom.
Church Planting Sunday could be the first step to your church thinking about launching out into multiplication. We need more and more churches in more and more communities to consider church multiplication. Highlighting Church Planting once a year is a good first step to get this vision on your people’s radar.
