Chaplains
The work of a chaplain is never done. I was reminded of this recently as I read Paul’s letter to the Galatians; “And let us not to grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.( Galatians 6:9 ESV). I ask you to join me in praying for our chaplains, whether police, hospital, fire, hospice, market place, prison or military, each and every one of these chaplains serve and represent Christ in some of the most unique environments. Especially right now. Hospitals and mental health helpline agencies are seeing a record number of people that are helpless and hopeless. Our NCD Chaplains are right there, strategically positioned in those places to provide comfort and remind people that our hope can be found in a resurrected Jesus. Many are dual status chaplains, where they serve a congregation and serve in the capacity of the chaplaincy. In the ever-changing landscape we find ourselves in today, these men and women specifically invest in places where the lost are regularly looking for hope.
