Overview:

Tyler Alliance Church is seeking a Pastor to shepherd us in fulfilling Jesus’ Great Commission. Our Pastor must have a Biblical world-view and be Bible-based in preaching, teaching and counseling. The expectations for our Pastor are the same expectation the Apostle Paul had for the young pastors, Timothy and Titus.

“… set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity”. 1 Timothy 4:12  

“In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned” Titus 4:7-8

We believe that our church can grow and want our church to be “A place to grow in God’s love, truth and grace.”

 
 

Qualifications:

  • Licensed with the Christian and Missionary Alliance or working towards it

  • Previous pastoral or ministry experience preferred - elder team is willing to mentor new pastor as needed

  • Previous experience that demonstrates personal commitment to a local church

  • Personnally growing in faith and ability to lead others in growth

  • Abillity to work with and relate to others.

Job Expectations:

  • Biblically based preaching and teaching

  • Prepare and lead Sunday morning services through music selection, congregational prayer, announcements, communion, and baptisms as needed

  • Empower congregation members to lead as gifted

  • Care for church members and community through visitation and other ways as gifted

  • Lead elders and governing board

  • Seek opportunities to share your faith and train others to do the same

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Currently a part-time position that may require additional outside income based on income needs

    • There is room for growth as the church grows

  • Includes parsonage with all utilities and internet

    • The pastor is responsible for lawn care and snow removal as abilities allow

  • Health insurance is covered by the individual, not included as additional benefit

  • Vacation is accrued based on experience and district recommendations
