Around the District: April 2021
Events
Heart to Heart: April 17 & 24, 2021
We are inviting all pastor’s wives for our annual Heart to Heart meetings where we can come together to share a meal, get to know one another intentionally, and build each other up through prayer. This year, Lisa Scarrow would like to connect with you as pastors’ wives again and give you the opportunity to connect with other pastors’ wives in your area. This is an opportunity to engage with women who understand the joys and challenges of your important role. Lisa will be hosting these gatherings either in her home or at a nearby restaurant in your location. There will be a series of gatherings hosted based off of your location and this will also determine the date that you will meet.

General Council 2021: May 31-June 3, 2021
Register by April 30, 2021. Alliance Council 2021 will have a simplified look and feel this year. Programming will begin Monday and end Thursday night—a full day-and-a-half shorter than previous Councils—allowing participants to attend their Sunday home church services. Due to COVID-19 concerns and a desire to ensure the Alliance family’s safety, we’re unable to provide a quality exhibition experience this year (although digital resources will be available) nor a safe space for children’s events. We look forward to revisiting these activities at Council 2023. This year, there will be more opportunity to connect with other attendees as there will be no seminar blocks during Council 2021. Several workshops will be available Monday afternoon prior to the opening service that evening.Meanwhile, the world-renowned Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many and a perfect setting to pause and reflect on the Council 2021 theme, SACRED. Accredited and Corresponding delegates can attend at the same price, $189.
