40 Days of Prayer

  • North Central Alliance 8860 College View Drive Saint Bonifacius, MN 55375-4504 United States (map)

The Alliance family will again be joining our hearts and hands together—on our knees—for a 40 Days of Prayer focus that will begin January 1, 2023. Each day will offer a thematic devotional reflection and prayer points authored by an Alliance leader or family member.

This year’s theme will focus on various aspects of The Lord’s Prayer. The devotionals will be arranged in six weekly categories with application for adults, youth, and kids:

  • Week 1: Prayer as Worship

  • Week 2: Prayer as Kingdom Partnership

  • Week 3: Prayer as Petition

  • Week 4: Prayer as Confession

  • Week 5: Prayer as Spiritual Warfare

  • Week 6: Prayer as an Expression of Hope

Would you consider making these themes the focus of your weekly services?

We will be providing sample sermon outlines for you to use or to stimulate your thinking as you prepare to preach. Additionally, you will be receiving a thematically appropriate video clip that you can use in your worship service each week to highlight the theme. You will also be receiving ideas and resources to use with teens and children as you help them engage in prayer.

In addition to providing devotional content, we invite you to join us for various livestream events including weekly 60-minute prayer gatherings on Wednesdays at noon eastern time, as well as a Prayer and Praise celebration on the closing evening of the 40 days—Thursday, February 9, 2023.

Our heart’s desire is that our Alliance family will experience the presence and power of the Lord in new and renewed ways. Please pray that this will be more than a program and that together we will encounter Him during 40 Days of Prayer in a way that will change our lives, our churches, our communities—and our world.
